Ant�nio Pessoa Contemporary Plus O artista luso Ant�nio Pessoa,a partir de 2006 que sem d�vida parece abdicar das suas velhas influ�ncias e interfer�ncias,rompendo bruscamente com os tradicionais modelos,mitos e os �ltimos vestigios da sua t�o pol�mica,bo�mia e academica �poca Rom�ntica,1997-2002. Barcelona,foi desde 2002 o principio do seu Stand By necess�rio,o seu periodo de reflex�o,consagra��o no pa�s vizinho,um progresso mais que evidente a nivel de maturidade pessoal e um acumular de experi�ncias,tudo isto inevit�velmente culminando numa transforma��o absolutamente metamorf�sica e justamente,como n�o podia deixar de ser,absolutamente dr�stica no dom�nio das artes pl�sticas. A Nova Era - The NEW ERA, Ant�nio Pessoa - � precisamente a prova ineg�vel de uma nova tomada de consci�ncia pl�stica,de intui��o crom�tica e de expressionismo conceptual inovador. The Patron Ant�nio Pessoa , 2006 Ap�s quase um ano de interregno,2005,em que o artista viaja permanentemente tanto por quest�es profissionais como por mero lazer, talvez por um lado necessitando de um longo periodo de reflex�o e de uma nova contempla��o do mundo e por outro lado satisfazendo a urg�ncia de estabelecer novos contactos ; surge em 2006 com um novo look na sua arte visual,surpreendendo tudo e todos e muito prov�vel at� que surpreendendo-se a si mesmo. Utilizando um nova fus�o de t�nicas mistas,desde collage,digital work, fotografia,aguarela e acrilicos,plus uma combina��o de cores e formas cujo resultado � quase sempre um impacto visual marcando s�bita presen�a,n�o contundente mas sim meramente impositivo,ainda que predominantemente cativante e motivador. "The Patron" ,O Mecenas,� talvez das obras mais atipicas da express�o da New Era,deixando ainda transparecer vest�gios da �poca Rom�ntica,e at� do periodo de Barcelona e Chicago. Apesar de fei��es contempor�neas, "The Patron" sugere um certo ar de neo-cubismo,ou at� um pouco ao estilo de Georges Braque,um toque de revivalismo em plena Nova Era muito ao jeito das obras dos tempos de Vigo. Um quadro repleto de propositado mist�rio,muito no estilo desconcertante do Ant�nio Pessoa dos velhos tempos,adivinha-se que se trata de um auto-retrato n�o s� pelas nitidas parecen�as do olhar como pela pose que mal se vislumbra mas que se sente. Pouco mais posso adiantar sobre "The Patron" sem a sempre conveniente informa��o fidedigna de Jacob Kotsky,a n�o ser a minha leitura mais ou menos objectiva,pouco ou muito subjectiva. S� realmente o tempo e o distanciamento necess�rio e imprescindivel poder�o fazer uma mais justa avalia��o e an�lise deste quadro,como ali�s costuma ser a regra geral,ainda para mais sendo "The Patron" uma obra fora do contexto visual da New Era de Ant�nio Pessoa,2006.
